You will never have to change your business address again, eliminating the worry of important mail being lost or sent to the wrong address.

We’ve designed our mail plan limits to exceed the needs of most small to medium sized businesses based on historical usage data. And we do not include spam mail in this count — obvious pieces of junk (flyers, brochures, etc) will be filtered out.

With that said, the “Grow” plan has a limit of 30 pieces of mail per month for a monthly interval plan and a limit of 360 pieces of mail per year for a yearly interval plan. The “Scale” Plan has a limit of 50 pieces of mail per month for a monthly interval plan and a limit of 600 pieces of mail per year for a yearly interval plan. The limits reset at the start of each billing cycle. If you receive more than plan’s limit of mail during the billing period, a $3 overage charge per piece of mail is applied.

Stable addresses are not PO boxes. Similar to how an office address may be structured, all Stable addresses are real street addresses that will look like the following depending on the state you choose:

When we receive new mail for you, we’ll scan the outside envelope and extract important information such as the sender and recipient. We’ll then send you a notification via email (or through one of our integrations) with this information.

From Stable, you can request to have mail opened and scanned to see the internal contents, forwarded to anywhere in the world, deposited to your bank account, or securely shredded. We’ll send you notifications when these actions are completed as well.

All plans include the option to automatically open & scan mail. Scale and Custom plans include the option to have all physical mail automatically shipped as well.

Yes, we can ship mail anywhere in the world so you can retain physical copies. We negotiate discounted rates with carriers and pass on the savings to you, and can also combine mail and packages going to the same address to reduce shipping costs.

We store physical mail that you choose not to forward for 30 days. Mail is securely shredded after its physical storage period. We offer unlimited digital storage, meaning digitized documents are always viewable in the Stable dashboard.

Yes, we work with many business owners and founders located outside of the United States.

Yes, we can receive mail under different business names at the same address. Please add any names you expect to receive mail under as “Business Recipients” in your account.

Yes, you can receive packages from all of these carriers.

We make switching your address to Stable easy. Our change of address process saves businesses time and hassle with automated filings, pre-filled forms, and customized guidance.

During onboarding, we ask you to answer a few questions about your previous addresses and basic business info. It takes about 10 minutes.

Custom transition guidance is generated from your answers, prioritized so you always know what matters most. This guidance includes instructions on how to update your address with the state, IRS, vendors, and more.

We also pre-fill any paperwork and offer a dedicated team member to walk through this process with you and answer any questions. We’re here to make the transition as easy as possible.

Yes, you can deposit checks electronically or mail-in with a click of a button once your bank account is linked to Stable. You can read more about the options available for this additional service here.

Our Registered Agent services satisfy the requirement of having an appointed agent in a state you’re doing business in and you can use these addresses on file with state institutions.

If we receive any correspondence from the government at your Registered Agent address, we’ll digitize the documents for you to view in the Stable Dashboard alongside mail from your primary address.

Note that these are separate addresses and services from your primary Stable address and cost $25 / month.

Yes, we’ll sort out mail like advertisements, coupons, and magazines for you, and we won’t upload any mail to your dashboard that is obviously junk mail. Junk mail does not count against your plan’s monthly total.

Yes, you can use your Stable address for incorporation.

Yes. You can use a Stable address as your business address when forming an LLC or corporation, including in states like Delaware and Wyoming. Keep in mind that forming an entity in any state also requires a registered agent physically located there. Stable offers registered agent service in all 50 states (plus DC and Puerto Rico) as a separate add-on to handle that requirement.

Yes. While Stable’s Grow plan supports up to 3 users, team mail assignment — routing specific mail items to the right department or individual — is a Scale-plan feature. On Scale, you can add unlimited team members (at $30/mo per additional user) and assign mail with one click. Team-based permissions let you control which teams and roles can see what mail, and for businesses that need more granular, item-by-item permission controls, that level of custom permissioning is available on Stable’s Custom plan.

Stable digitizes your physical mail, routes it to the right person or team, and sends automatic alerts so nothing sits unnoticed. On the Scale plan, you can connect Stable to tools like Slack and Dropbox via our API, webhooks, and Zapier to keep everyone in the loop. Custom plans add configurable automation rules — for example, instantly routing compliance mail to your legal team based on sender or content.
